Not only is Africa the land of wild animals and safaris, it is home to some of the most beautiful landscapes on earth, and to the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfall.
We’ll take you safely into the South African bush, where we’ll go on a viewing and photographic safari. We’ll also set up in the bush so you can paint the landscape, and the animals that wander into it. (Guides will be with you at all times.) You’ll see the most spectacular landscapes of South Africa, including Cape Town, which has been called the world’s most beautiful city. We’ll take you to all the greatest painting locations.

September 13
- Depart New York/JFK on South African Airways flight SA204 to Johannesburg at 11.15am
September 14
- 8.05am – Arrive Johannesburg
- Flight to Hoedspruit via SA1225 (10.15am/11.20am)
- One hour drive to the Blyde River Canyon
- Painting opportunity at Three Rondavels & Blyde River Canyon with boxed lunch
- Painting onsite for 3 hours through until sunset
- One & half hour drive to Kapama, arriving at approx 7.30pm in time for dinner
- Boma dinner at lodge
- Overnight Kapama River Lodge
September 15
- Morning safari, followed by optional bushwalk
- Return to lodge for lunch late morning
- Painting session mid afternoon and into sunset
- Private bush dinner with local dancers and singers

- Visit to Delaire Graff Estate, 3 hour mid morning painting session

One of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, and the World’s Largest and Most Spectacular Waterfall
A spectacular sight of awe-inspiring beauty and grandeur on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. It was described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as “Mosi-oa-Tunya” — “The Smoke that Thunders.” In more modern terms, Victoria Falls is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world.
This is a life-altering experience to tour and paint with the finest guides in Africa at our sides.
